Thing 21- Wikis

Just finished 21-----now I'm almost done!!!!
I have looked up various people/things using Wikipedia, but I'm very leery of this website. I don't really trust that the information shown is TOTALLY accurate.  I found the different views of the restaurants provided by the staff very helpful.

Thing 20 Podcasting

Unfortunately, the city has stifled my creative flow (which only happens between the hours of 9-6). When the city lifts this bans I'LL BE BACK!!!!!!!!

Thing 19- Hulu

I think Hulu is GREAT!  I've used this site to watch my old shows like "Facts of Life", "Silver Spoons" and many more.  I like the fact that their shows go WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY back with classic TV.  To me, this comes in handy when you want to show your kids what "really good tv" is all about.

Thing 18- YouTube

I watched all four of the mini clips.  The "Manifesto" was long, sooooo long that I began concentrating on the pics instead of reading the statement that came afterward.  The Allen County clip was in Spanish, so I could only understand a few words.  I do think that they put too much emphasis on the "SUPER" librarian.  I say this because there are other workers in the library that work equally as hard (some even harder).

Thing 17-Music Streaming and Sharing

I chose Pandora (Today's R&B - Old School) for my listening enjoyment.  I TOTALLY love this tool.  My taste in music is very eclectic.  My father use to make me and my siblings listen to various kinds of music ---he said it would make us "well rounded".  I remember listening to Hank Williams, Van Morrison, Ella Fitzgerald, KC and the Sunshine Band, The Commodores, The Sugar Hill Gang and many, many more. I once heard someone refer to Rap music as "CRAP"!  I TOTALLY disagree with this statement! To me, music tells a story -- it may not be your/my story, or about how/where you raised--but nonetheless a person's story. I LOVE this site!  Happy listening!!!!!

Thing 15- Google Maps

Done!!! Did you know that the Frisco Public Library is 1,155 miles away from May Memorial Library (my old library) in Burlington, NC??? I often use Google Maps to get around in Texas.  I also use it to track my route home to North Carolina (if only it could drive those 1,155 miles--- I'd MARRY it).
